I hatched heritage rhode island reds and marans one time and the marans took a day longer.

Thank you! I did finally .. see something..one wriggled when I flashed the flash light on it. So at least I know one is alive. :p

Would you recommend locking down shipped eggs in a carton so they are standing large end up or flat on their sides? I'm not sure the benefits of keeping them in egg cartons like I see some have.

Thanks

Day 20 here.  No pips, no sounds.  Dark eggs, marans and OE's that are pretty dark.  Do you guys find that the dark eggs take longer..I've not done too many of them, because I've had great luck with them.  Keeping the humidity up a little higher than I normally do, temp down where I normally do for lock down.  I do have a couple of lighter eggs in there, not worried with the bit of difference in things though.

I am exactly where you are today! I have 29 BCM eggs that are on day 20 with no pips. I had 24 showing clear movement and have high hopes. My last hatch was quick to dry out so I bumped up the humidity on mine too!

Yaay, will be watching for yours too then. Good luck!
