Couldn't you just take 1/3 of the recommended dosage of the wormer and mix up a 1-day supply as a wet feed/mash?

I guess that might workCouldn't you just take 1/3 of the recommended dosage of the wormer and mix up a 1-day supply as a wet feed/mash?
With just adding it to the feed or anything that is available free choice the problem arises of making sure they get an adequate amount of wormer and don't overdose on it.I guess that might work
That, also, is a distinct possibility, 'specially since the rooster tends to lay back & wait for the girls to eat. With just adding it to the feed or anything that is available free choice the problem arises of making sure they get an adequate amount of wormer and don't overdose on it.

you might check, but a lot of wormers are not going to be deadly in overdosage. I accidentally gave a colt a huge dose of ivamectrin once when I set the dial wrong. She got over twice her dose, and my vet said she would be fine. Not that it is recommended though. It is probably more important to get enough not to build resistant worms, but I don't know on chickens. I just thought as mash they would get the wormer as they are no separating it and the egg would help them want it.That, also, is a distinct possibility, 'specially since the rooster tends to lay back & wait for the girls to eat.
