Hah, yeah, in my vewpoint it is why take 50+ lives to get the same amount of meat that you could be getting with one life. (Rabbit vs cow) ANDDDD I have pet rabbits which may be contributing to that decision. ;)

actually I think rabbits have more meat than chickens..... anyone?????

Cornish vs flemish giant? Is that the meat breed now? I was of the thought that they used average size rabbits for meat after seeing pics of a rescued meat rabbit..... Maybe i'm wrong about that though.... Without using my feelings, rabbit vs chicken is hard.....

I think that the breed of rabbit would enter into the response. Are we talking about CXR or cornish game hens? Are we talking about the huge rabbits? or the wee ones? IMO, it all boils down to the comfort level of the person doing the processing, as well as the cost/# of getting the critter to the table. I would love to expand into getting an other type of meat into the freezer. But, my freezer is tiny! So... at this point... cull cockrels will have to suffice.

Re: the drowned mouse in the water bowl: It would only be appropriate if he took a bath first, as they are nasty creatures. And, he would have to receive prior approval from the dog, and the house person. Otherwise, he can just take his sorry little butt out and find a trap, or a bucket of water in the yard like any self respecting mouse.

Morning Sally! I eggtopsied the remaining four eggs and well one of the 3 CLB eggs was a female. :hit. All four still had yolk to absorb. But that's okay.

On a lighter note.....the 7 hatchlings are all fluffed out and I moved them to their brooder but not before we had our first photoshoot!!!! :gig
