IMHO, you're too quick to do anything.

I think your brooder might be too cold.

I'm wondering how it could be too cold indoors in Louisiana with a 75 watt lamp in a small brooder.

Outdoor temperature is mid 70s.

What my vet has me do is give them fluids and calcium every 12 hours and place them in a warm, steamy room. For this I turn the water heater to max, then fill my bathroom with steam. Place bird in crate that they can stand in, place crate on bathroom counter.
