The 4 eggs I set (after the bobcat got one of my hens) all hatched yesterday. They were the last of my staggered hatch. Here are the babies! So excited one of them is taking after "her" daddy who is a Cochin/Ameracauna. "She" is the little chipmunk with feathered feet!

I am all done with hatching for the year! (Fingers crossed)... Because now I have to figure out what to do with 13 babies!

The dark ones should be a mix of black, blue, and splash marans. The blues are F1 Olive eggers, the olive eggs should be F2 olive eggers and the tan ones are sex link cross between a Marans roo and barred rock.

My Halloween hatchers, Puppy and Kitten, have decided they're big enough to wander all over the coop and barn and yard. Brave little buggers.
I really want to set some eggs. I also really want my cockerels to start wooing the hens. They crow but still hide from the hens.

So I don't think I will do a x-mas hatch (need to set today) but I might do a New Years day hatch (set next week).4-6 eggs this time..
