New Hatching has begun! My last hatch for myself!

Ya I love how calm they are but the on.y problem with them is that I heard they don't care to roost or even go in there house that often
My silkies sleep in a BIG pile. They have no interest in sleeping side by side on a roost. It's funny, now that I have youngsters integrated with the adults, the adults sleep in 1 pile, the younger birds in a separate pile. I have 1 rooster that is new to the group and he sleep all by himself.
 
I was checking the weather. It looks like CH33 is having a rough first day on the job. Tornado warnings, hail and lightning all over the bayou.

Silkies.
They are so unique, calm and perfect for those that like them.
They don't roost cause they can't fly and don't jump well. They're very vulnerable to predation.
I joke with all my friends that have them, saying that they aren't real chickens.
If you like annoyingly broody birds that need supervision, go for it.

Idk how true that is my daughters silkie was the first to start rounding the other chickens up in the evening to coop, she was so funny to watch she would start running around clucking like crazy in the evening in and out of the coop till all the other chickens were in there then she would get in there an snuggle up , our hearts broke when she got sick and passed i have been wanting to get my daughter a couple more silkies she loved her bitty
