I wonder if Louly got any chicks in that nonnonsense bator of hers overnight! LOULY !!!!!!
She had one as of last night, and more pips. She went to bed!

Re: meat grinder at Cabella's. I find that company to be ridiculously overpriced. Do you have a KitchenAid? There's a grinder attachment for that. Or you could do the red neck version, and hook a drill up to your hand crank. Check out the options here: http://www.nesco.com/products/Food-Slicers-and-Grinders/Food-Grinders/session_18b542eb9b85/

how are the other eggs comin along? @firedragon1982

Well, I have 9 SFH (Day 10) and 3 LV (Day 14) still developing... So either way we're gonna have chicks out our ears for a bit.

Sorry you lost Eggbert. From what you described a couple of days ago, he probably died of peritoñitis brought on by an improperly constructed gut. If so, he never would have had a chance but for you.

Yeah, that was what I was figuring. When my husband told me couldn't get out of the shell himself and how long it took him to start walking normally, I was wondering how long he'd make it.

Does anyone have any advice on how to raise the humidity in a Genesis 1588? I have a bowl with a sponge in it and added another sponge. I pulled the plug and add water with a funnel and straw through that vent hole. I am having a heck of a time keeping it above 60% and have helped out 4 chicks now that had trouble after zipping. Everyone was all dried out.! So far out of 39 shipped eggs I pulled one clear, hatched 21 and have 1 more pip on day 22.

Can you add a bit of water to the container that is holding the sponges? I use some baby food containers (those bright colored ~2 cup capacity from First Years) with some water in those. Raises the humidity right up. I created a "cage" for those water bowls from hardware cloth and duct tape along the edges, keeps the babies out of the water.
