Mine are out at three weeks. Even last night (scary since it was in the thirties) they didn't get heat.

Oh my goodness, how did I forget?
I put mealworms into a bowl of water for the adult ducks. First one duckling, then the others came to see what the adults were doing in the water. I can't be sure that they figured out that there were worms in there. The drake pecked the one duckling in the bill, then they both went back to playing in the water. I'm not sure what exactly happened after that, but I saw that the drake corrected the duckling again. The duckling pecked Jojo. Jojo pecked back. Then the duckling ran after Jojo, pecking him every chance it could!
I am beginning to think that I like ducks more than chickens.

I do, I certainly like them better than this conure that wont shut up and likes to talk when I do!!!!!

I dislike parrots very much and can understand your frustration. One of the girls at my office had one that grew up on cape cod and thought it was a seagull, can you imagine listening to seagull screeches all the time?

Liz has a chick that is part penguin, (anyone have one that is part hamster?) Phil set 12 more duck eggs, Kwhites plays ketchup and lives in la la land, MC would rather have a heart attack than decaf, mrleeroy says he doesn't mind being called anything except late for dinner so his name is now Skittles, Kwhites has a ummm "Interesting" new morning meme, the BantiBator is alive, some people pay for chicken poo and others would pay to get rid of it, sally has a conure that talks when she does, MC got her 'lings back, a horse kwhites knew wouldn't tolerate irish setters, Benny's students call him Bennipedia, collecting rainwater is illegal in some places now, Jace has 3 chicks, MC will rule the world someday but until then she is going to bed, Sally is back and has demanded a recap, Phil can wrestle rabid pigs for a living if he needs to, kwhites occasionally will "mis" misspellings in his posts, nobody is sure if Chaos has minions or is a minion, (myself, I suspect the latter) MC named a bear Rabies, Sally is gonna run a half marathon, Depresso is the feeling you get when you run out of coffee, Sally wants to know why multiquotes aint workin, (Goodness, spellcheck nearly died over that sentence!) Skittles's army of chickens lives in a car along with a few dogs, Sally's minions are her kiddos, kids only talk back once, SuperBubbles can't do a recap any further back then 2 days, Dux is fast, CC legbands his bees, and llamas are not to be instigated!

I was going to say deer netting. I will go out and take a picture of it in a minute. I like it because it is pretty darn cheap, and isn't going to cut the heck out of you with sharp pieces. It may not be as stiff as chicken wire, but it is still a lot easier to use when you're alone.

When I first heard the ducks sound an alarm, I thought that the guineas from up the road had gotten into my yard again. When I looked out, and saw the ducklings I changed my mind. It turns out that it was the guineas that were bothering everyone. Also, the whole wall fell down, not just the door for the brooding area. I finally decided to guide the ducklings into a small run. I will decide sometime today if I just want to make that their run, and let them sleep in the initial duckpen. That would mean that they would have their own access to outside. It is times like this, that I wish I had someone here to see what I was talking about and give me their opinion.

There/their are some brooder ideas in the Backyard Tips thread on making a brooder out of a drum like that.
