I don't know if I'll have the time but I'm hoping to go to our Urban Farm and Sustainable Development Group's monthly 'Pints and Plants' event. We gather at a local brewery for talks about gardening subjects.
This month's subject is 'Beer in the Garden: Gardening and the Biology of Beer'. It is a talk given by a Ph.D. in plant biology at Washington University.
Homebrewing and home gardens can complement each other. This talk will cover how brewers harness the plant world to turn grains and other plants into beer, and provide tips on growing a “beer garden” whose harvest can go directly into the pint glass.
Sounds like fun.

Sounds like it would be a good one to attend.

Sounds very interesting.

Good morning all! Thank you Banti for the great recap!

In my city we have to apply for a permit to dig a well. They only allow a couple of them each year. We're waiting for our turn. Reclaiming grey water from your house is banned. You can ONLY collect water from the washing machine if the machine is on an outside wall. California is a Nanny state, but this city is ridiculous in their babysitting everyone. We don't get enough rain to collect it in rain gutters.

Technology is cool.....In locations that have humidity, but no drinkable water, these billboards were designed to collect water from the atmosphere. They get barrels of clean drinking water out of it.

I set LOTS of eggs last night.

I moved all the eggs out of the LG over to one of the Brinseas. I added all my new eggs to the other Brinsea. I am also hatching a bunch of eggs for Gotro17. I have 40 of her eggs in HER incubator that I moved to my house. I have 20 of her eggs in my Brinsea.

So, @Sally Sunshine my totals are now.

I moved 17 Auto-sexing EEs, 11 Frizzled EEs and 6 shipped silkies into lockdown (No longer my "Death Bator" bator)
I have 15 Blue Wheaten Sulmtaler set on 4/9, 17 BCM, 24 Mille Fleur D'uccle and 6 Black Crested Polish set on 4/15, 12 Blue Buff Cochin, 4 BCM, 13 Olive Eggers, 2 Biefielders, 4 CCLs and 10 of my silkie eggs set on 4/19 and 60 eggs from Gotro17 - Lavender Orpingtons, Lavender Cochins, and BCMs also set on 4/19. Shellee's chicks will hatch here, then go back to her house.

So, I have 2 Brinseas and 1 Hova bator full to capacity incubating, and 1 Incuview hatching. The LG was emptied and turned off. We'll use it for hatching, trying to keep all the babies separate.

I was 200 or so posts behind when I started this post, and I'm 10 posts behind now. This thread is busy today!!

Have a great day everyone!!
