I have a 15' tree pruner. On my tallest ladder I think I can lop the swarm branch off into a recycle bin. I have another hive set up on a stand. I hope I have enough beer for this project. I have to tread lightly. We're playing the team tied with us for first place in pool league tonight. I don't think I'll get my regular afternoon nap.

@BantyChooks I let the flock out this morning to free range. The ducklings wasted little time coming out. They pretty much lay by the coop. Now and then, I check, and one is in the water bowl, while the others are drinking duck soup. Not sure why only one is typically swimming.
As the progressed, I went out to see how they were doing. I wasn't fretting since they have not wandered far in the last few days. I didn't see them! It is pretty warm today, so I didn't think that they were inside. I asked the adult Pekin where the babies were. I admonished them for leaving the babies behind. I finally checked the coop, and they were laying inside. I guess it makes perfect sense that they would go in for food.
I have given up on any divider. Everyone has proven that the ducklings are not going to be bullied (because the ducklings scare the heck out of everyone else!). The ducklings will eventually discover the duck room, and then I can get rid of the feeder and water I keep in the back section of the chicken area (the best place for clamping the heat lamp).
I just thought you would like that story.

Sounds like u need more beer

I had a roundworm infestation in my flock a while ago, found out when Jace pooped a wiggling, inch long worm.... And another chicken ATE IT.
