No I was talking about wild ducks such as mallards. Ducks and geese cannot crossbreed.

In sorry I didn't make myself clear. Pekins, Rouen ect.... Are all descendants of mallards but Muscovy are completely different they can cross with mallard/mallard descendants but they are sterile and take longer than regular mallard eggs and shorter than Muscovy eggs to hatch.

I think what is being said is that if your female Muscovies had a run in with a wild mallard then the eggs would hatch faster BUT the babies hatching would be sterile-unable to reproduce, do u follow?
