Hot tip of the day, for anyone who doesn't already know:

When setting posts in concrete, there's no need to mix up a bag of concrete; just pour it dry into the hole around the post. The moisture from the ground is enough to make it set up. I haven't used wet concrete in years, and I've set my share of posts.

Mine are also mutts, but once they're big enough, people will buy them to eat them. That or the feed store will give me a store credit for each one I bring in.
