Chatty bunch yesterday, only had 453 posts to catch up on, but hey, who's counting?
Beautiful sunny morning here, mid sixties if the weatherman can be trusted.
Good day for all the chores I have been putting off, and 'the list' my DW has so kindly assembled for me.

One more cup of coffee though, just to make it an even 10 before I start my day!
LOL, good luck on that list

Whites, JW, I will send it your way as soon as I am done with it.

After 4 1/2 months of white chit, I need as much vitamin d as I can get.
We had the torrential rains two weeks ago. Melted most of the white stuff, but had to put life vests on my ponies and the birds were all moving to higher ground in the barn. Even my ducks were eyeing up my fishing boat!

Good morning Banti!
I will try to send it your way as well.
Don't be surprised if Phil gets it first though, this system seems to be moving more easterly than south.
I have seen on satellite some of the pics and video for Texas, Missouri and the other south central areas the past week.
We normally see rains like that in July and August, but with our topography, rarely see the flooding like those areas have experienced.

Good morning everyone. :frow

We've got sunshine now. Chilly 48* however the wind is to return which will make chore list difficult. Thunderstorms last night short but at least 1/2 of rain.

If Bubbles can recite poetry, I guess I can sing:

"The old man from the mountain's comin' home, home,
Thought I'd better warn you, so I called you on the phone
Get rid of Joe the Grinder, you better be home alone
'Cause the old man from the mountain's comin' home..."

Goodbye, Merle, RIP

I don't know if "A NAUSEOUS NOCTURNE" counts as poetry....

Another great artist gone....
Not a huge country fan, but did like much of his work.
He was supposed to be the headliner for one of our local country music festivals in July, his sons and his band have decided they are going to honour his commitment to the festival and play. They have asked some other country star (can't remember his name) to join them, and the guy does an awesome job of the vocals and the emotion that Merle put into his work!

He was scheduled to play the "local (Charlestown, WV) casino in May.
I met his son Marty several years ago at a local benefit show. Good singer. I got the impression that he & Merle didn't get along.
