When my daughter was 4, my brother was living in Virginia. Back then it was really hard to find Tri Tip steaks outside of California. We were going back to visit and my brother asked me to bring some. I froze 2, wrapped them in newspaper, shoved them in a sytro ice chest, and spent almost an hour shoving it into a small soft suitcase (more suited to be a carry on). I checked that bag.

My sister in law brought my 2 young nephews with her to pick us up. We got our luggage off the caurosel, and 3 kids aged 6 and under, with 2 women, were walking to the exit when a DEA agent stopped us and asked me what I had in the bag. I said, "tri tip". He said "what?" I repeated myself. He asked to see what was in the bag. As I was struggling to get the ice chest out of the suitcase, I said it was STEAK. He started laughing and told me I didn't have to open the ice chest. He said the dogs kept going back to the bag. They weren't indicating drugs, but they couldn't leave it alone.

He let us go.

24 out 0f 26 that went into lockdown.
Congratulations! I hope the last 2 make it and you have a 100% hatch!!!

I am sorry you have lost more birds. Mine all have been doing pretty good

. Except for the one dual/meat bird that will stagger backwards sometimes, and that lays kind of funny on its side sometimes. I am not sure what is wrong with it. Maybe I should just butcher it early. 3/1 chicks
Thank you Daxi! I'm sorry you are having one acting weird. I hope you find out what's wrong.
At Mizzou, they have someone on call 24/7. You call and the person on call returns the call within minutes. They meet you at the lab regardless of time of day or whether it is a holiday.
There is an emergency number for this location, but it's ONLY supposed to be for LARGE amounts of birds in 1 flock that die, or it's a a facility related emergency.

I went ahead and sent an email to them. I haven't heard back. I had my phone number, email address, physical address all over the forms. I put my name on the outside of the incubator. They should be able to contact me.
