Could be the breed, also could have cooler spot, usually I think those are in the corners though. Yes even with a fan.I might have or might not have identified a problem with my Incuview. As I FILLED the incubator with lockdown eggs, I candled each egg and placed them in the incubator. I know that I took all the eggs with OBVIOUS draw downs and put them in 1 corner, I didn't think I did anything more with the rest of the eggs than put the same color eggs in the same area. Not a single egg that lined the left side of my bator has pipped or hatched. EVERYWHERE else in the 'bator they have been popping like crazy. Is there a dead spot in some incubators? Even with a fan?

Hopefully soon!

Glad the quail has friends and isn't lonely anymore.I wanted to show off the only chick that hatched at Easter (the rest was quail). She is half Sapphire and half Bantam Silver Penciled Wyandotte. She has the rose comb. I know that the comb is real pink for 6 weeks but her feathers said female one the second day and the vent sexing (third week) looked more female than male. Right now she only has a baby name of Cheep. The little A&M quail she has grown up with is named Peep. Peep was kept to be the replacement of the aging partner of Albus an English white quail. Still not sure that Peep is female but since his partner died last week Peep will at least keep him from being lonely. After a day of hearing Albus call for his dead mate I put him in with Cheep and Peep and he has ceased to cry for her. They seem to be getting along fine.
Cheep here is all white with just one grey feather on her tail.
