Oh, geez. I slept until 1PM today!!!!! I'm sure there's a reason, and this week was kinda rough, but I feel like SUCH a deadbeat - I have so much to do! And I am attending graduation tomorrow (representing my department), so I won't have tomorrow to catch up. Now I have that horrible groggy feeling. I've started the bread dough and the pizza dough is rising. Now I need to eat something and then head outside and try to get started on one of the any overdue things I need to do for my chickens. Maybe to feel productive I'll start clearing and setting up the foundation of the new large coop... I'm such a sloth... - Ant Farm

Well I got the incubator filled back up. Woke up with plans for the day cancelled due to rain. Decided to make the hour drive to an auction. Was hoping to get rid of some birds but got there late and realized I was last in a very long line of sellers which doesn't usually go so well. Decided to keep my birds in the truck and see what they had. Came home with 3 dzn mixed color cochin and 8 amaraucana which interestingly enough are marked EE on the shell. Don't have my hopes high but figured it's worth a shot to walk away with almost 4 dzn eggs for 12 bucks. Already have them set and this time I double checked that the bator was plugged in correctly.

Well processed 13 Cornish cross in 1 1/2 hours with 4 people working and also got some other stuff done around the house. Wish weather was a bit warmer but the sun makes up for it.

Actually I was processing for someone and there were 2 of them that came to help and my mom also helped.

Thanks! Now I've just got to get the fence done. I just put up a temporary run for now. Not looking forward to digging all those post holes... wouldn't be so bad if our farm didn't breed rock!
