Thank you for this perspective. My Princess Pumpkin is in the same boat. Happy, alive, but so much smaller. She's 4 weeks older and the same size as my Halloween hatchers.

Here she is next to her hatch mates. She has her own space though. Eats, drinks, poops, is merry.

Let 'em in there; they should help the others hatch, and can get along just fine without feed & water...still living off their yolk sac right now.

We were trying to let you know that newspaper is slippery and shouldn't be used in the brooder. Paper towels will keep the chicks from slipping and getting splayed legs. Marbles in the waterer will prevent chicks from drowning, too...

Edit: Oops... that was supposed to be for chickenhawk. Doh!
