What does it mean when you say dropping... and why would it get blobbish...

bad eggs venny, shook up bad eggs is all  :hugs

because when you die your blood stops pumpin and settles same thing in an egg
@sarisso I think I would like to explore the eggs that have no internal pip if they still show no progress when I get home tonight. Good idea? Bad idea? Advice? I'd love everybodys two cents!

Edit: also, what about the Serama with the internal pip? I hear no noise. Should I do the water test? ,(day23)

Installed a timer for the light, and hung the heater. Brooder is finished, with the exception of bedding. Need to move it into it's final resting spot, and run an extension cord. All in all, I'm pleased with how it turned out... and I'm my own worst critic. I plan to use absorbent pads the first few days until the chicks are eating good, then switch to pine shavings. Has anyone tried puppy pads for newly hatched chicks? They're more absorbent than paper towels, so I can't see why they won't work as well... or better. Anywho, this is the final product with the slide-in divider inserted:
