I'm behind 7 pages already...

I'm just going to update. I got my blue cochin eggs today. Air cells look great for shipped eggs. I have 15 eggs that will go into the incubator tomorrow evening...whoop, whoop...oh yeah, it's my birthday, it's my birthday! (Well my almost birthday!)

today is your BIRFDAY!!!!!!!!????????????????????IS IT???????????????????????? I love blue cochins hawk!!!!

Oh my goodness, you too? Didn't consider us hicks, just poor, we had 3 stations though.

Mom moved us from the East coast to .. almost the West coast. Oh well, glad to get out of that situation. Had to find work here and there to help mom, 5 kids, no hubby. Didn't take brains to do what I was doing. Busted my butt alright to help, but never minded. Men? Despite the men in my past, I finally found THE man for me in my life.
I know, behind a bit here in posts..just picking up where I left off, as usual. Now there is a bit of my past that I haven't talked about in a while. Glad I am where I am now days. Really am blessed to have a good man in my life that treats me like a Queen. Love him to bits!

we were here in the mnts, perhaps thats why Cynth? antany only picked up so many. I am glad you found a wonderful man Cynthia. I am glad to have worked my way to live with things, I just wish I wouldnt have been so set on things and looked for a good man. you done it right right, I am happy for you!

So, Eggbert, the youngest hatchee of the batch might be out of the woods! After he hatched, he was so weak (possibly not ready even tho he was trying) he didn't kick himself out of the shell I found out after I got home yesterday. My hubby, bless his heart, "helped" him out of the shell. Gently tipped him out. He was having mobility issues, even after leaving in the incubator for 12+ hours, he was still waddling with his butt dragging on the ground, and one leg would splay out, he'd fall on his back and couldn't get up, etc. So this morning I worked on splinting his legs (which is hard! nothing I used would stick/stay stuck!) and his one curled foot. Even with putting splinty in a cup to stay upright, he'd kick his shoe off/start working the splint off his legs. Put him in a wash cloth donut with the other chicks,he'd try and crawl out. Get a plastic cottage cheese bowl, and he'd lay on the bottom and be depressed.

So before I left for work I took the splint off, he kicked the booty off too, and just let him run with his hatch mates. I'm happy to say that he is now doing so much better mobility wise. Still not as upright as his siblings, but now can "run" around without his bum dragging constantly, and is working at getting his legs more and more under him every time I see him come out. I know, not the orthopedic way, but I'm just glad he's not laying on the ground giving up like he was when I had him separated.

I have 3 pips this morning and 26 eggs just sitting there... Taunting me! These Marans drive me CRAZY I should have picked an easier breed lol. I hope it will be better with fresh eggs rather than shipped.

Good mornin M'lord <curtsy lol> I am good, I feel much better today, I think I will stear clear of pain meds and keep my head a bit clearer today! But I will try to keep put and rest as ordered. But I still have a few things I should get done. How much salt must thy mine this day M'lord?
