I think that's the only time we can hunt them. Imma have to look it up. I'd much rather hunt in the fall.

Each state is different. Fall hunting is a lot different than spring hunting. I am still learning about it. I listen to a lot of podcasts and am learning a bunch. I'm going to California to hunt turkeys this spring. Pretty excited for that

Hi.
Umm. Four eggs are in my incubator. I think I'm just testing fertility as my new cockerel has been busy. Shhhh. Don't tell anyone.

Candled all five eggs between 48 and 72 hours later. I see no development but it's early. I will leave them and candle again at 100 hour mark.

You people are so fast! Hahaha no new news here. Temp finally figured itself out. Seems to go from 98.8 to 100.4 but it's a regular enough variation that I think the internal temp in the eggs is fine. I spot candled about 10 of them and saw definite veining in 6, dark shadows in 3 and 1 I think is clear. I will wait until Friday to candle all the eggs.

No kidding. I finally opened a fertile duck egg. I have two now. I might set them on Friday, then put #6 in on Saturday. I will try to just wait until Saturday though.
Might be buying a second incubator. Is it really worth paying $80+ for a turner in a Brinsea? I mean, we are talking 10 hen eggs, 7 with a turner.
