You can try craigslist. Sometimes you can find them there during the winter months.

I could eat sushi every day! Gods do I love it! And summer rolls, and steam buns, and sashimi...Does anyone here like sushi? Just curious...
Letting it go is the only option in the US, federal law prohibits killing, harassing, or transporting them without a license. So that's the look of a predator when it realizes it just became the prey. Did it get out or did you dispose of it?
It is in the U.S. under federal law. They just had a mod post on the backyardchickens subreddit this week about it.I say shooty shooty bang bang. Vicious lil beast.![]()
Unless it is illegal, of course!
So cute!!!!!!
Farm Innovators Incubator is doing all right... Not too happy with it, but it works. Took a look at all the wires on my IncuView, one could have possibly burnt up a bit, but I will look more before I rewire it. Don't wanna do anything completely unnecessary or mess it up even more. Oh, and of course, Incubator Warehouse is NOT open on Christmas lol. I thought it wouldn't be, but I tried. At ten am here tommorrow, they are getting called.
I'm glad your lone chick made it O.K.Whoohoo!! My chickie hatched hall by himself. Just when i wasn't watching too! Lol
Now I have one problem, since his pall did not hatch, he is a loner. How best to care for him? I could try to bring my silkie hen inside but I don't know if she would set on him or not. She is a good mother in the spring and will adopt chicks then but I have no clue about now out of season. I have never tried that.
I have him in with two stuffed beanie chickens right now but I doubt that's going to really fool him. I feel like handling him a few times a day my self isn't giving him proper chicken life, so he can go in the yard with the other chickens some day.
What should I do for him?
Didn't think of that. Great idea!Should I Give him a mirror?
If I'm not mistaken, Sally uses a large see-through tub; not sure if it's Tupperware, but I'm sure you're using the name generically. Can you use a big Tupper for a brooder or does it need to be metal/wood?
Never been there, but I'm sure you can find things in SoCal that cannot be found anywhere else on the planetI had 2 different local feed stores selling baby chicks 2 weeks ago. I don't know if that is typical everywhere.
I'd suggest you & Sis make a pact , never to have dogs at the same time again unless one of you moves far, far awayGood morning, hatchaholics!
I spent last night at the emergency vet. My suster's dog bit mine in the eye. Purely accidental. But eight years ago her last dog bit my last dog in the eye. That dog had an idiot for a vet and went blind. This time around I know that won't be happening.
