I give what are duck pins?

The pins are smaller than ten pins, the balls are smaller (about 3 lb), & you get 3 balls/frame rather than 2.
The game is not as popular as it once was, being concentrated in the mid-atlantic region of the east coast.
Parts for the pin setting machines are no longer manufactured, so the bowling proprietors have to buy used parts or make their own.

It has been colder than a witches ..... for the last few days. highs of 0 F, and overnight lows of - 10!. they are predicting a balmy 27 for new years day though! glad to hear the ice is finally thickening for you.
did you get hit with that snow yesterday? or did it by pass you?
