I'm debating about having someone mail me some blue egg layers and silkie eggs and try incubating??? Thoughts??? Saris says she has eggs or did at one time lol.

Other than the shipping aspect, I say go for it. After all, it wouldn't be your first rodeo

I sent eggs to a gal friend in FL and she got her eggs in just 2 days. From WA with snail mail.

I love bacon & pork chops, but I won't have a hog around me because of a story my grandpappy told me when I was a kid. He said if a cow went down to calve, a hog would root up inside of her, pull the calf, eat it, and kill the cow in the process.

louly this entire batch of eggs was a bust except for one egg and that was an hour away shipping! post on CL and ASK for what breeds you want and see if you can find them closer to you. post in the farm section and ASK not in the wanted section!

Yes, it is sunny and 4 degrees here.

I had to go just 3 hrs one way to Creston WA to get these.
