Thanks, daxi! I saw the question... but didn't have a logical answer. Never built one, don't know anything about the dimensions of that particular bator, or the hardware being used. I almost said "as many as necessary, and all over it"... but I was a good boy and resisted. Talk about self-control... it took everything I had not to do it... but I didn't. Think I should try to help now???
should have known. You would if you could, and with a fine twist. Love the sarcasm you are good at it and catch a bunch of opportunities. Not to mention your discretion for a newbie.

@Ur-ur-ur-urrr Congrats on your perfect NYD hatch!
Thank you very much, mrleeroy!!! I appreciate it!

BTW what breed did you hatch for New Years? On your Barred rocks how many pullets?
Same... barred rocks. I'm still not 100% sure on the (almost) 4 week olds, but I'm pretty sure I've got 6 pullets and 9 roos. In another 12 weeks, I get to decide who goes in the laying house, and who goes in the freezer. Getting a little hungry just thinking about it!!!

Here is my lone silkie so far this morning. :(
Dang rooster, over 30 set, seven made lock down.
One has for sure quit, two other questionable, no pips on the last three yet.
Did have some temp fluctuation at lockdown fo some reason, hope that didn't doom them. :fl
