INCUBATING w/FRIENDS! w/Sally Sunshine Shipped Eggs No problem!

Well I decided to eggtopsie the dead eggs. They were definitely goners. One was malpostioned and shrink wrapped, one pipped internally and then drowned. The one that caused the early lockdown died without ever pipping or absorbing it's yolk.

Chicks hatched! 11 out of 13 eggs hatched(5 buffs and 6 Rhode Island reds). One of the chicks had some trouble hatching and now has a bloody vent. I tried to clean it with warm water but what looked like the yolk started coming out so I put him back in a separate brooder and i put some electrolytes in the water. What should I do?(the yolk is hanging out of his bottom and is a little bloody! Any suggestions would be appreciated.

@Mjosephg can we have an update on this chick please?

I have found two awesome homes for these chicks, because I decided I didn't want to keep any, especially since most were crossbred, So 6 are going to a family that had some critter dig under their coop and kill and eat their 6, they added a plywood floor and cemented the cracks and everything now. The other 5 are going to a friend that has a few, and she gave me the other eggs that were in my incubator. I'm just doing this so I can do more hatching... Unless I keep a couple, but i don't think I will.

so cute! congrats Saris!! and bawahhahhahhhaaa I think i heard this after the Halloween HaL!

I was! Hahaaha, my father in law bid on the eggs and won without telling me! and I can't do the shipped eggs by themselves, they're coming from West Virginia!! What if only one hatches, it needs a guarenteed buddy.

saris how are your two chicks now? and what of this ones bubble

They're doing great! I can't even figure out which one is the air bubble one now, no bubbles that I can see. I've decided to keep 6 and the rest have homes lined up! hooray!
