do you have pics of your coop TJ ?? you have no electric fencing run with them critters there?
No, but thanks for reminding me. I do have some that I can set up around those pens. Maybe I can run it tomorrow, getting too late today. Here is a picture from last winter. See where that Guinea is up on top? That's exactly where the lion made the hole. Luckily, he just had the peacock by the tail.

Thanks. I'm going to have to experiment with it tonight. I had it set up last week with my dead peacock in front of it. I got lots and lots of pictures (daytime) of my cows sniffing the bird and sniffing the camera. Something came in and took the bird at night and the camera shows nothing. So sd card must be fine. Just may not be working at night. Oh, and I drove in front of it once last night and it didn't catch that either. It took several pics as I was retrieving it this morning though...
I don't know. Stupid thing....
It's a Stealth Cam.
Hmmm......just might be a faulty infrared sensor. Can't help you specifically with the Stealthcam; I've only ever had Moultries or Cuddybacks. Is there anyone close by that could loan you a camera that's known to take night images, to use as a control? Might also be a good idea to call the manufacturer & explain the problem to their customer service rep; might be a simple fix. If push comes to shove and you want to replace it, you might be able to catch one at a reduced price, since hunting season is essentially over, or soon will be. There's not an option to disable the infrared, I assume, like a switch somewhere on the front that could have inadvertently been switched off.

I wish I could give you more in-depth advice, but I'm fresh out of ideas.
If you think of it, I'd be curious to know the solution. Good luck.

I looked through the instructions on it again and I can't find any way of turning off the night sensor either accidently or on purpose....Your right, I should contact the company. Thank you!

ok yall, so i calibrated my two mechanical thermometers; one was off by like 3 degrees and the other around 7, i then tried to calibrate a digital one and it only got to 35, ugh how in the world am i suppose to figure out what is right?

so hopefully tomorrow I can clean the coop and give everyone a (final) bath

Also, since my hens are laying, do you think it would be a good idea to collect eggs so I can test fertility. so, that I can maybe sell eggs in the future... do you have to be NPIP certifiied to ship hatching eggs?

you have kids? Check the incubator thermometer's accuracy by placing the bulb next to the bulb of a clinical (the kind used to measure body temperature). Hold both in a cup of lukewarm tap water and compare the readings. Compensate for any variation of the incubating thermometer by increasing or decreasing by the amount of variation. Also if your thermometer does not have a probe you could put it side by side with the medical thermometer in a room that you have heated above 90*F, the minimum most medical thermometers will read.
