Wow... thanks for posting that, Jack! I didn't know...

My kids were raised with firearms. In fact, there is a shotgun laying on the dining room table and a rifle by the back door. And always a rifle and pistol in my truck.

A little story, my oldest daughter was a freshmen or so (22 now), I had just gotten back from a cow elk hunt at my buddies in Wyoming. Truck looked like a bomb went off in it so I had her go out and clean it out. I had completely forgotten that my concealed carry pistol was shoved between the seat/console. Low and behold here comes my daughter with the pistol. She had the pistol in one hand, the magazine in the other and a single bullet out of the chamber. Pistol was completely cleared with the slide locked back. I was one very proud dad.

I've always thought it was best to teach kids about guns and gun safety... rather than them finding out on their own. All of my 3 were excellent shots at early ages... and they all carry to this day. Well done, fire!
