I didn't want to go there... but when subtle nuances don't yield adequate results... you have to use the shock method. Tends to clear the fog, so to speak...

it can only blow as fast as the Volts you are using the 5? it wont blow much but its better than none until you can get another, take pics for yourself so you know how to rewire a new one whenyou find a used one

if that was mine without a baffle on it I would place it so that the air blows to the top of the bator and spreads outward, so THAT ITS NOT BLOWING DIRECTLY DOWN ON EGGS but upwards to blow up and then it will flow out to the heating elements.... so place upsidedown with plenty of shims/distance between the lid and fan.

Use your human thermometer and get a cup of warm water, and the human one will be calibrated all ready, let them sit in the water a minute and take a pic of all the thermometers in the water at once including the human one, put the probe to the electronic one in the water too....


all thermometers should be the same temp..... if not we need to do an ice water bath to reset them.

Since the viewing window is exposed to cooler temp on the outside, and being closer than the intended object being measured, the temp measurement will most likely be lower than the actual value.
