@SallySunshine the babies are so cute!! Are you silkie mutts al l silkie, or silkie mixed with other non silkie birds? I call my silkies mutts because they are not true color silkies.

I have no clue, she had a trio of blue silkies but they were in with other bantam gold laced cochin roo and hens, but either way some dont have the extra toes and some only have it on one foot, so my guess is crappy silkies lmao so mutts in my book.
and the cochin mixes are probably hatchery stock too, but it was fun to see some other kinda chicks pop out! so tired of legbar and serama and project birds

not yet, but you can process anytime.

It depends on how big you want them, I was told to subtract 1/3 of their live weight to estimate their processed weight. those dont look ready, breastesses are not nice and curvy

I am so upset with myself, that I just can't stand it!
To raise the temperature in the incubator earlier, I added both plugs. It's only the first day, so not a big deal. I wanted to drop the temperature back down about 2°, but Duckling was grabbing at things, and I turned the dial instead of removing a plug. I will check it in a few hours, but I may have to just remove the eggs overnight until I can get it right again.
I am confessing to this because I don't want anyone else making a stupid mistake like I did! If you are distracted, stay the heck away from the incubator!!
