I use piped water supply/nipples and have for a long time. I use 5 gallon buckets in the brooder building so I can treat separate pens as needed. On very rare occasions do I use anything thing else.

I absolutely hate those vacuum waters with the screw on lids.

I really need to get this set up. Using bell waterers right now. Lots of them. Losing my mind...

Also, in the brooders I use a 2' piece of 3" pvc capped on one end with 3 nipples in the cap. They are strapped to the side of the brooder boxes.

Hatched chicks stay in the brooder boxes for 4 weeks and then move to the brooder building in 6x8 stalls with 6x24 runs.
