We've got way too many chickens/roosters around here to let one get out of line. Dang and here I was saying the other day that I don't have to do that very often. LOL. Shoulda kept my mouth shut.

And, if he was a jerk to the hens, you can always give the left overs to them.

I saw a rooster at a no kill shelter yesterday. I went up to the kennel and peered in. He came charging at me, all puffed up, and told me that he desperately wanted to gouge my eyes out. When I asked one of the managers about him, he pulled up his sleeves and showed me the scratches left by the roo. He then offered to load him into my car after he found out I had a flock of chickens. I said I'd take him if I could name him Dumpling. The other manager just shook her head! Dumpling stayed!

Not that I have been anxious or anything, but the e-mail came at 4:32 that my order had been shipped. Fed-ex updated the order number three minutes ago, and it was picked up at 4:00.
Now I wait.

@Ur-ur-ur-urrr can I easily change the hatch date so I can switch my eggs over to it this weekend? Or is it a pain? One person said that it is hard to turn off the turner.
