morning everyone.

working on coffee then heading to town ahead of big storm coming in, pick up some extra feed just in case. We are expecting between 10-18 inches of new snow this weekend

Never once have I hurt my back or strained any muscles shoveling rain
You obviously haven't lived in a country that has a monsoon season

stay safe and enjoy the coffee

Meant to tell you. Years ago he and his family had a few cows back in Nebraska when he lived there. He's got a movie of milking the cows and spraying the cats, somewhere. Super 8 I think is what the film was. Before we had TV we'd watch all the "shows" he had filmed. It was quite the family event even though we had seen them a hundred times. Man....

That's amazing!
Yer crazier n me!
I'd like to see those! :weee

its not funny... you know it sucks when you have to shovel around the dogs yard fence so they dont hop over a 1 foot fence!!

as I don't have that problem. Although when the snow does get more than about 6 inches I have to clear an area for the ankle bitter to go pee cause she has low clearance and doesn't like sticking it in snow to pee

I've got some pics, but I'm still changing things. I just bought a $200 temperature controller. The build has now cost me as much as just buying a new Sportsman (but where's the fun in that?). At least it holds twice as many eggs.

Next I need to make a new hatcher, my current one maxes out at about 100 eggs and the temps are not as well controlled as I would like.

I will check out the links. I have a bunch of thermometers and mostly they agree (except the Brinsea that seems to just pick a random number and alternate between that and an error message).

Some future project might be to add a computerized monitoring of temp and humidity, where it would log all the values and give me a graph over time for each incubator, published on a web page, with alerts for any problems sent as texts to my phone. I can dream this stuff up much faster than I can implement it.
