I did have a few hatch today!!
Great on the hatch.
Sorry bout the meaty. Once had a large Orpington's hen just up and die on me. No apparent reason must have been heart attack. One hour fine next dead. Argh.
I think I'll be able to do the Easter HAL with my own eggs.
Are you getting the rats?
I keep a trap set here for the larger varmits almost 24/7. Rats always

havent got that far yet, i will make sure the first one is drained, cant guarantee the second will be empty, i am on page 4262, must be getting close!

I don't think I'll ever be able to fully keep up with this thread!
Excited to have brought home some blue-laced red wyandotte chicks today...6 pullets and 1 cockerel. Also sold 6 roos! I sold another 7 roos and 2 hens 2 weeks ago... but I keep on plussing up on the chicks!
I am happy to be down to 2 adult roos. I have 4 8-wk chicks - thinking at least 3 are pullets, but I need to take & post pics. I have 6 4wk chicks that the jury is out on... I am thinking more boys than girls with those ones.
Tomorrow is day 7... will be candling in the evening.
