Sorry to scare you - I was just making the point that he loved it so much and treats it as spa time. I didn't bathe him until he was very well and stable, eating, drinking, and already bored with being inside - at which time it helped with continued healing of all his scrapes, road rash, and bites. But I was very careful about the temperature, kept it relatively short, and was totally compulsive about him being completely dry (like, half an hour or more of blow drying).

That was a very long 2 1/2 hours! The duck pen is now clean and has been expanded.

The ramps have not been added because I didn't flippin' feel like it! I can add them later. I managed to stay mostly clean and safe until I got back inside.

Outside, I cut my knuckle on hardware cloth and got a little mud on me from trying to find lost things in the loose straw in the storage area. Then I got inside and got poop on my cheek when the box of dirty feed bowls I was carrying shifted, and I tore my earlobe when I was combing out my wet hair.
This is why I am safer doing dangerous things. I don't get hurt doing risky things.
I realized that whatever I use for a ramp must be toddler proof. She will be walking on the ramps not me, so I didn't think about it until I went to put up a ramp. Like I said, I wasn't in the mood to find the 2X4's I will need.
I can now say that I have done a complete deep litter clean out with pine shavings, sand and straw. Straw is by far my favorite. Sooo much faster to get it out of there! Most of the time was spent cursing myself for saying, "Oh, I can charge my screwdriver another day." and not doing it, then discovering that all five of my Phillips screwdrivers are missing. The hinge for the door needed fixed three times (I really could have used help holding the door in place too!) and the wall wasn't working out, so I had to unscrew it, and move it for a fourth time.
I am now safely sitting at the computer wondering If anything else could possibly hurt? In the past fifteen minutes, I can't use my right arm, my legs and feet hurt and now I have a headache. My back has been hurting, but that bothers me the least.

I think I am getting old too fast.
