Yes. I almost always use a turner with my hatches. I have some shipped Serama eggs in a Brinsea right now that I'm hand turning to see if I have a better hatch, but normally I use a turner. The turner for the 1588 is nice a gentle with the eggs.

Thanks for answering so many questions! How i havent overloaded you too much.

Anyways im off folks. Cleaning the coop today

Sad thing is, I only needed blood tests done, but they refused because it was respiratory and the whole flock could've needed treatment. I ended up having to have the bird killed and a necropsy done because I didn't know about the other vet. He was a beautiful lavender Orpington. I'm still upset about it, and it happened months ago.
I wouldn't walk through her door again if she were the only vet in 100 miles, and I'd make sure all my friends knew about the way you were treated there. I imagine your state's veterinary board would be interested in hearing about it, as well, and the local paper.

Lots of folks use Jack Russell Terriers. We had one for 10-12 yr. We got him as a 2 yr old. He wasn't here very long before he attacked & killed one of my hens. We had a very serious "discussion" following the incident, and he never again even looked sideways at a chicken. Even went into the chicken yard with me a few times. Jacks, in general are very intelligent, quickly learning what's expected of them, and what won't be tolerated, They're also quite devoted to "their" people.

Agree with Whites. BUT, listen carefully. Jack Russell's are natural born killers. They will kill anything they can get ahold of or die trying. They have to be taught that chickens are off limits. It starts with obedience 101. If you are not up for teaching a dog basic obedience and beyond, then this breed is NOT for you. My Jack's freely run with the chickens anytime they want and are very adept at protection. Also are phenomenal mousers. Better than any cat I've been around and that folks, is why there isn't a cat one on my place. The Jack's keep that in check for me.

So if anyone on knows anything about the hovabator genises i was wondering if you could maybe answer some questions?

Ask away. One of us will help you.

I didn't even get to go in. I called to make an appointment. I already had them on Tylan. I told them 3 times that I just needed tests run.

Quick update here....@Sally Sunshine

The original two surviving Serama eggs from the shipped mushy mess have bit the dust. From the newer shipped mess there are two still developing. They do have horrible saddle cells, so not a lot of hope for them either.

My purple Guineas have just started laying and people are wanting chicks, so.....Pulling out the Mind Reading Bator this weekend!
