No, but Hi anyway.

I was actually talking to a newbie from Uganda who found us overnight.

Congratulations to every single successful hatch. :love
I did a Day 10 candle. One of mine was clear and one of the shipped eggs had a blood ring. The other 13 look good. The turner is pretty good but I guess I won't know for sure until we get to hatch day. The air cells were growing a bit too fast so I added some water to boost the humidity to 45%. 2 a.m. tonight is half way.

I hope the coffee, tea, and spaghetti are satisfying for everyone.

OK, so a perfect example of why you shouldn't help eggs hatch

last night when I was candling my last two eggs to see if they were good, I realized that the one had been oipped internally for a while but never made the external pip so I made a tiny pup for it and put it back. The other hatched on its own overnight but the one that I had pipped only made the hole a tiny bit bigger and had turned around in the egg. It was still alive and moving but not getting anywhere so I started opening the egg a little to investigate. I found that it was ready to come out. All vessels were died up. Here, the poor thing has a deformed cross beak and never would've hatched on its own. I'll try to get a pic layer but it's top break, on the one side is almost like a cleft lip

I gal bad for the little one. I may have to cull it. One of those ones I never should've helped

your go girl!!! I cant wait to see how they hatch!! So exciting for this turner!! well and chicks lol

If she were mine and I decided to use Safeguard I think I would give 0.23ml per pound for five days in a row, that will treat all worms, but if you want to treat just the large roundworms, give it once and repeat in 10 days.

-Kathy

Given the massive amount of worms being passed, I would treat for roundworms first, and let her recover for a few days before starting a full-blown de-worming regiment. I think her chances of survival would be much greater that way. Just my 2c...

Good suggestion. This is a perfect example of when it would be helpful to have a vet to consult with.

@Fire Ant Farmright ankle. Tomorrow is three weeks and it still has some swelling and is colorful. I hope to loose the brace after this week.
@casportpony is there somewhere to figure about how much in common measures that would be for a four or five pound bird? Thanks
@Sally Sunshine I hope you rest well and feel better tomorrow.
@Ur-ur-ur-urrr. I like your new coop. Does the run sit on the ground or go down in it?

Feeling a little slow this morning... What do you mean?

I had a bird with a clipped beak that made the top look like a cleft. She was a sweet girl and a good layer! I also recently inherited an elderly amerecauna with a crooked beak. She's mean as a snake (to flock mates) but still laying at 4-5 years old! :hugs
