More of Bubba's babies are going into lock down come Fri. night. Then, I have more! Not sure if they are all doing well, may be only one. :/

Here are a couple of photos of a silkie hunkering down on that nest being the broody girl she is..and hope that the second photo shows how she fluffed up when a hand comes near her. She isn't mean at all when I check for an egg. I am the meanie. I took the egg. Will let her have the mutt babies from Bubba!

how long can you give them babies after they hatch? how old chicks>?

And.....sharing this one because this girl keeps getting more and more pretty. I wasn't too sure about frizzles, but this girl is cute. To me anyway! I need a name now!

Pleased to say that all my chicks are doing well! Better hatch rate and better post-hatch survival! Thanks to everyone! I learned a lot from what I read - just wish I had more time to keep up

So far my incubator is holding at 99 degrees and 55 percent humidity. Not so bad.
