@Sally Sunshine

Your very timely response to my questions caused some changes to my plan. No changing incubator hatchers. So, here is my update.

Jessimom
I have 5 blue/splash silkies and 1 buff brahma in lock down in the dreaded Incuview, (day 20, nothing yet). 12 Buff Brahma going into lock down 2/23 and 6 silkie eggs going into lock down 2/27. I have some shipped eggs coming the end of the month.

go babies!! I cant wait to see the blue splash and you know I love brahma!!

I did not think this would be emotional, but it is, though it's better than culling. A guy is coming to take my brown egg layers in five minutes, and the colored ones go Sunday leaving just the Lavender Orpingtons and my favorite Georgie that is still sick to either find a trusted home for or cull. This sucks

I am so sorry dax

Ok, these are my non fertilized eggs, but my girls are finally laying again!! We're getting 10 to 12 eggs a day now.

I'll be getting some barnyard mix eggs from a friend for the HAL. I got some chickies from her last year, 4 turned out to be roos (rehomed) and 1 hen. She lays the army green eggs in the 2 corners. The photo doesn't show the true nasty green the eggs are.

My lock down eggs are doing nothing.....but our new air bubbler is working great. It's helping keep the humidity steadier.
awesome news on the bubbler!! such beautiful eggies!!!

So sorry, your situation really sucks. But you've thought very carefully about it and you've decided on what is right for you and your goals. Doesn't make it any easier.

I know you're still stuck with your dilemma with your lavender orpingtons. Thinking of you - I know that'll be tough.
