Good morning.
It's going to be another long day. Trying my hand at wiring the thermostat and light bulbs today. If that works out I'll get the fans wired. The replacement motor arrives tomorrow and the egg trays arrive Monday.
One of my Brabanter hens has been missing at lockup for two nights. She is a tough cookie, but also mostly blind so I'm not sure whether she is able to find food and water.
I have three promising eggs left out of 18. I have been putting in eggs from my flock to test fertility and either the cockerel is infertile or the fluffiness is getting in the way. When I open eggs they look fertile. I've seen him doing the deed. I guess time will tell.
Chickens are not for the faint of heart.
to all.
Sally, I will need a break from wiring so I'll try finishing up the article about the aquarium MacGyverbator. I'll also start an article about this new yet-to-be named incubator build. The good thing about the microwave turner not having enough torque is that I will have two functioning (hopefully) incubators. One for larger batches and no watching the hatch. One for smaller more observable hatches. Although nothing is truly set in stone yet.
