So how is that a thermostat issue? Thats a heating element and fan circulation issue.

I don't know. Could it just be they got too cold since it was over a day and a half between shipment and reception? Could it be the vaccine since the symptoms are do similar. The red rangers did not get it and are not sick. I emailed them and will call if they don't by this afternoon.

you mean an open beak yawny or need for air like breathing hard?

Looking at your picture I'm noticing several things...

1) The lamp is low enough that none of the chicks are under it.
2) All chicks are in a semi-circle around the lamp, which I think means that it's too cold in your room.
3) All food and water dishes are in the cold zone.

Can you add another lamp and raise the one that's in there and move their food and water closer to the lamps?

Nope. They don't fly.

Actually they do....but as they get older they fatten up so they can only get a few feet off the ground...it's funny to watch then come for years dragging their feet the whole way.
