Ok. Will try that now. Here goes. This sure isn't for the faint of heart.


Soaked him in warm running water. The bottom of the shell came off, with a lot of runny liquid. Because of where the membrane is stuck on the face, I couldn't get it off with water without getting it in the nostrils. Nothing is bleeding anywhere, but this membrane stuff is rock hard on his face. He's quite a wiggler and fighter.

You can use a moist q-tip, paper towel or wash cloth to get the stuff off it's face, but make sure it doesn't get chilled.

Yestarday we had a deadly teror day! We are licking ouer wounds but I can ashore you that we will prevail! By the fact that I worked today, and I am spending time with you is the best prufe that the teror will NEVER defeat us!

BTW... Did a 1 minute recandle, cuz I forgot to check air cells in the exitement.... Which was why I candled...
THIS time I did a full candle, 11/12 have awesome veins including the EE I popped in for fun!!!

Okay. I'm going to give him a little while to get his temp back up in the incubator. He's walking all over the place in there with his "helmet head." Truly a miracle if this works. You guys are so awesome to help like this. I am in disbelief right now that he/she may actually survive. So I'm guessing that since others have talked about "shrink wrapped", that this was the problem. And then since he had his beak already poking out, he was still able to breathe. Maybe then, the membrane dried out and got hard and rubbery and he just couldn't get out. Who knows? I think it will be a long time before I try incubating again. Way too intense for me at this point.
