My run's covered, but their exercise yard isn't...just 4' wire around it. Only time one's gone over was when I was chasing a rooster that didn't want to get caught. He lit on the roof of a nearby brooder, and that's where he spent the night; flew back in the next morning.Ya tell me about it if my run wasn't covered mine would all be out when the coast is clear
Aren't smokies those little sausages? What kinda bator? Thermo's calibrated?200+ posts? Holy smokies! (ooh, did I have to say 'smokes?).... Don't you people have eggs to hatch or sumpthin'?
@flocktastic I'll add my prayers to the others for your little girl. Our little Ashley was diagonosed with leukemia a year ago January when she was 6 years old....I know how difficult it is to wrap your head around.
Okay, I'm going back to real life now....Gotta figure out why this incubator has 3 thermometers in it and shows 3 different temperatures. Eggs due to be shipped this week.
Well that's nice! I'm going to try and plant some seeds today for the garden, but with two little boys who know if I will be successful or not!

Chickens ain't the smartest animals God put on Earth. When I go to herd them in for the night, it's not unusual for one to run the fence trying to find the gate on the other side, which they go thru a dozen times a dayWell at least he doesn't get half way to the wide open door and turn around and wonder why he can't find the exit.
I have 3 thermometers in mine, all reading within a degree of one another; none of them have ever been calibrated.200+ posts? Holy smokies! (ooh, did I have to say 'smokes?).... Don't you people have eggs to hatch or sumpthin'?
