You gotta make the River Walk & Breckenridge Park in SA. Sadly, there isn't a lot left of the Alamo, but it's still worth a visit, or was in '66 when I was there.
If I wasn't so stressed about getting all their housing built I'd probably be more tempted. That being said, I've been trying to spend as little time as possible in TSC (the ducklings are so cute!!!!!). I keep reminding myself that I do NOT have duck housing, and that chicken housing comes first. All Polish look like Phyllis Diller to me... - Ant Farm
It was so hard to ignore the ducklings 2 bins over... Only way I got outa there without 2 was whispering to myself "I will hatch ducks soon, I will hatch ducks soon" over and over again!
I hope they are silvers, as silver is the only color of recognised "true Ameraucanas" that have a chipmunk colored chick. Otherwise Chipmunk coloring is the result of mixed color parents and usually once mixed are almost impossible to get back to true color/takes generations of breeding.
Where did you get them/the eggs?
sigh
My auto turner on the MacGyverbator broke. The tab broke on the part that hooks to the motor shaft. No eggs were harmed. I turned them three times today and I'm trying to figure out how to fix the turner in a 15 minute window so the eggs don't get cold. The motor and timer work, but can't hook to the nest of eggs. I will have to fabricate something or deal with hand turning the whole incubation period. I am only on Day 5.
sigh
I haven't read the last 30 pages or so. I hope everyone is well.
Good night.
OK, I apparently had a BYC quote fail while catching up, deleted all quotes but one, not sure if I can remember now.... (I'm sure it's my fault - that's the sort of blundering day I'm having...)
Healing vibes to everyone with sick chickens (@daxigait , @Saris , and anyone else I'm forgetting at the moment)
@flocktastic , glad to hear about the provisional good news re: your daughter, and congrats on the new chicks. (And very very sorry I sent you the wrong adapter - right one coming soon.
)
@chicken hawk 33 , so impressed with your goose (Thing One, right?). Great job!
@BantyChooks , you have chicks in the 'bator, right? And you brought home more? I thought I had it bad...
@campingshaws , I really need some of those Svart Honas. I may need to get the name of that breeder from you.
Impressive work on all the incubator builds, everyone!

Is anybody here willing or able to help me identify chicks? I e multiple types from the Hatchery that I have never had. Since I lost 18, none of my numbers can help me like I planned. I know the ccl, blk EE, Welsummer, and Lavender Orpington. I think I can identify the RIR except I ordered several that might be close.
Breeds to choose from Leghorn white and brown, RIR, rainbow, ISA brown, golden nugget, red rangers, lost all SLW and BR.
I was in Dallas for 2 weeks one Spring, going to a class when I worked for IBM. It was super hot one day, and I said something to the instructor about it being a short Spring ( the day before had been very comfortable). I was told that Spring had been held on the previous Thursday, between 9 AM & 3 PM

I don't mind giving it a shot but you need much better close up pictures.
Given all your past troubles I would vaccinate all your chicks for mc, coryza, and coccidia.
Figure you already got them vaccinated for Mareks if they came from a hatchery. If not that too.
It may seem expensive now but not compared to loosing them all again.
