I know they're harmless & keep the mice in check, but DW comes unglued if she sees one in the house. I've seen a few inside that she doesn't even know about

What a nice DH!!

I believe you will get a darker shade of green, or olive, unless the roo has some surprises up his wing.

It means that 3 eggs have larger air cells than the other one.  I'm not a fan of float testing.  If you can see in them to candle, go for that, if not... you might want to tap into the air cell and see if there is any sign of life.

Sounds like they are in distress.  I'd do a slow assist to assess, and if they look ready, I'd float them out.  (I shuck my babies that are FULLY MATURE out of the shell in a bowl of warm water.  Of course being sure to keep their heads above water, and once I start this procedure, there is NO TURNING BACK.)

This has become my method as well.

I guess I'll try getting it out like that. The other one already died. This isn't turning out well, I believe they are stuck and are just getting weaker.

For those wondering, I am far enough away from what's happening in Brussels that we are completely safe. Keep us in your thoughts, and if you have loved ones in the area please be aware that there is a Facebook watch going on where you can check if they're okay.

It s REALLY good to hear you are OK. I was up when the news broke. Had to call my brothers (both airline pilots in Europe) and I thought about you being so close.

Will the notes cover stuck chicks like MiraJane is dealing with? I am trying to learn, is it stuck or shrink-wrap?
Good luck @Mirajane

@Sally Sunshine scarily steady yes. Last hatch I had fewer fans poorly placed. This time airflow is much better. Temp swings less than half degree. Last time 2degrees.

@casportpony I'm guessing you'll know the answer to this. I have a Muscovy drake that is lame. I finally caught him today, which was NOT an easy task even with him only putting weight on one leg, and nothing seems to be wrong with the leg so I'm guessing it's probably worms since he looks a little pale too. I found where you had given someone the dosage for Safeguard goat wormer when given directly by mouth, but I don't think I can catch him every day, so I need a dosage to put in the water. I'm guessing he's about 6-7 pounds at the most. I don't have an extra cage to separate him into so I had to just move him into the backyard where there's a Muscovy hen and a trio of Bantam Cochins so I guess I'll have to treat them too.
