My friend is dealing with the same thing and the story of how the puppies came to be is even more frustrating! She had a young boy dog that she was planning to get neutered the next week she had him in the same yard as her lab girl that she sometimes bred to get pure lab puppies. Usually she went into heat in march and the boy dog was still a puppy she thought but lo and behold a week before her mutt pup was going to be neutered she saw him getting it on with her lab! Now she's got 9 mutt puppies.

Beautiful duck! It seems we are all waiting for something with these birds; the first egg, the first broody, when the eggs will hatch, when they can be sexed, shipped eggs to arrive... Me? I'm waiting for two broodies to hatch their eggs. One hen that had a prolapsed vent to go broody so she'll get a break from laying, another pullet to go broody for the first time, and finally-waiting to see if my one frizzle chick will be a hen or rooster; rooster I hope.

Lol ahhhhh!!!!!! Yes some people we known didn't want their border collie anymore - they told us she was sterile and had run with male dogs for 6 years...never been bred. So we took her and gave her to my mother in law - she already had a blue lacy but he needed a pal because someone stole my MIL's other dog awhile back.

Several months later..."Wow...looking mighty fat...aka pregnant!)" I sent pictures of the puppies to the people that gave us the border collie and the wife says "omg!!!? Are those HER puppies???!!!" I said "YUP!" And she said "I'm SO sorry....we really didn't think she could have puppies!"
