Did not realize she was that bad :*( 

She may not have any real issue, but with the possibilities for causes and or results with the head I don't understand. Sorry if I am too hard on this.

I used to have a Jaerhon hen that would fly out of her pen, fly into one of the Penedesenca breeding pens, take the chance of getting attacked go into the coop to lay her egg and then retrace her steps. I have no idea how she knew there was a nest in there. She had never been in that building before.

That is hilarious!! Did the Penedesenca's ever get used to her and accept her as a member of their flock? Or, did they continue to attack?

None of mine know how to go back. They jump out, then pace back and forth near the door, waiting for someone to let them in. We keep a water tray close to the fence, so they have access to water if it takes us too long to let them back in.

I have a Dom hen who is acting broody. One set of shipped eggs due to hatch towards end of next week, and a set of my own eggs due next Sunday. If she stays the nest, I'm tempted to try to let her have some of my eggs. This may be the same gal who successfully hatched chicks last summer.

If she goes broody, i'd give her a few.

Nice! Glad you found them.

I'm glad I found her! It's good to know she wasn't going too far. I think she was broody and only came out if someone was laying out food and she was hungry enough.

Nice!! Our escape artist that used to fly out and have a nest under some railroad ties, but moved to a rotted tree stump when we moved the RR ties, then to a box that had a spare puppy pad in it when we made the tree stump part of their run, has decided it's too much work to jump out. But now I have a new escape artist that jumps out of the run, into a wheelbarrow, into a carboard box, sitting on top of dirty wood chip bedding from the baby pen - she has made a nice nest from straw, and has been laying for 3 or 4 days. Prior to leaving the run, she'd use the same ones the other hens used, but must have had to wait too long one day, so found a better spot.

Oh believe me, she's trained well enough that if I open the gate she'll run back in. Clipped her wings and when we let her go she plopped right to the ground, couldn't get any air under her. I don't think she'll be flying over anymore.

Mrleeroy and ch got and set shipped eggs, someone set almost 400 eggs, and Ur received and is setting his long awaited HRIR.
Motorcyclechick lets Duckling play with ducklings in a pot on the stove.
littlelakePhil has found a creek with steelhead, but can't go fish till Friday. He also continues to worry about his wife that fell and hit her head but won't go to the doctor.
Penbmaster has had some resolution at work but is still watching out for knives.
There is lots of nail biting as people wait on hatches from eggs that either had temperature spikes or cooling due to being unplugged.
Several of our members received Badges, and Kathy got upgraded to platinum poultry yea!
Motorcyclechick has asked for prayers or thoughts during a difficult time. Chickencanoe MLM Mike and others continue to offer good advice and links.
Fire370 finished awesome dog kennels!
Several discussions on egg turners, and different ways to deal with humidity in the incubators

Kwhites634 continues to struggle with mechanical issues and offer commentaries while waiting for the weather to let him take his new coop outside..
NaJaLeHa went for a first check on their third child and the ultrasound revealed that it is actually three and four

Flocktastic is dealing with sick family, Akrnaf gives good advice and recipes, hippistink is working on Etsy, several are gardening, Banti continues the duckies drama,repeated emphasis on CALIBRATION especially with CH and Ben, and more, but I am going to have to drive again.
