Good morning whites!

So the great city of Indianapolis has just given me a very good reason to move to the country. City ordinance took effect on April 1st. Went from chickens not being regulated, to only being able to have 12 adult birds (adults are 8 months of age and older).

Nope. no joke... I guess you can get a permit (costs $) to have more... Bunch of bull turds in my opinion.

What other job can you have where you are wrong 50% of the time, and yet get to keep your job?  I could have used that bag of rocks last night.  We had 50 MPH winds.  Those rocks would have helped me keep my feet on the ground.

The thing that really gets my knickers in a twist is:  when you file your tax return, and you have to pay income tax on the tax return you got the previous year.  How can they get away with that????  For that reason, we try very hard not to have any money due back at the end of the year.  I don't understand why folks get excited when they are getting a big return.  All that means is that Uncle Sam got to play with their money, interest free all year.

No most of them area getting a big return because they get the theft giveaways where they get money from those of us who pay. They get back more than they pay in Federal taxes. They call them tax credits instead of theft to make the receivers feel more justified.

Sounds like a great reason to move. They didn't happen to offer to pay your property taxes while they were telling you what you could do on your property did they?

Of course not! They want to raise the taxes! I'm getting tired of all the sirens and train horns and semi trucks engine braking on the highway (less than .5km from my house) anyways. I like being close to conveniences, but the price for it goes up every day, and I'm not sure how much longer I can deal with it...

The road outside my house is pretty busy but I've at least got a bunch of woods right out my back door. My neighbors mind there business and stay off my property and I mind my business and stay off theres. Works great.

Is it drinking and eating yet? Get a kitchen scale and start weighing it daily. If it doesn't gain, or loses weight, you will have to tube feed it until it starts eating enough on it's own.

My friend who's duckling picture I posted with the bad eye did take it to the vet. It has duck glaucoma completely blind in that eye.

What are they going to do with it?

Oh my gosh. I've seen pictures of older days where every yard had killing post in the front yard.

Yes society here has become VERY disconnected with it's food source. Maybe not everyone, but most people don't think about the fact that what they are eating was once alive, and had to be killed for them to eat it.
