My brother-in-law used to wear khaki shorts and a button-down shirt, sometimes a tie and sneakers. That was for weddings anyway. When his daughter died almost 21 years ago, I can't remember what he wore, but probably a suit. That is the only funeral I've ever been to with him. I was wondering what my sister would put him in for today's viewing, but I assume it's not his typical shorts!

Why not? As I recall, the bottom half of the body isn't visible in the casket, anyway.

But I thought you read everything?

That's a big omelet.

Please refer back to my earlier picture for you about being bored.
I do read everything, doesn't mean my brain is completely tuned in and running on all 8

And for the record, I don't think showing up in my birthday suit is appropriate.

But why not? I think black jeans and a nice blouse/shirt would be perfectly acceptable

You got to understand; Benny's used to cooking for the entire Israeli Army, or so it appears in most of the food pictures he posts  :lau

You can feed an entire army with 21 eggs?
It must be a very tiny army...

Quote: Late response, really hard to tell from the photo, and this might be totally off, but I wonder if that's an organized hematoma (maybe something-or-other ruptured, leading to a bleed and ultimately an infection? Just guessing). They can take on quite a bit of structure and look like "tissue" when they begin to organize if it's been a little while since the bleed. Did you find any red brown staining anywhere else? (Of course, if abdomen was full of pus, you may not have been able to see...) Still don't know a lot about chickens' innards, though...
You could be right, it does look more like it cam from blood. It was also located at the bottom of her abdominal cavity. She was pretty smelly, so I didn't do a very thorough exam and could easily have missed the source of a bleed. Have more pictures, but they aren't appropriate for this thread.

@DwayneNLiz

Was trying to reply in a quote but I kept losing it. Truck is a 01 Ram 1500. The plan was a simple seal replacement that turned into seals and bearings. Eventually progressed to a complete rear end rebuild. Pinion gear has chunks missing from the teeth. If I had known from the get go I would have prbly opted to replace versus rebuild. Cost would have been comparable but replacing would have been quicker I'm sure.
