I vaguely recall 'someone' saying they couldn't get ducks, either. You happen to know who that was?
Nope! I have no idea.

Peas need a covered run...... Ducks don't.
Peas need much more space.....
Peas are loud..... *most* ducks aren't.

All I can say is my neighbors would kill me if I got *peas.

*Or call ducks

A Canada Goose hen with little ones came after me once while fishing. She never took into account just how far a 7' rod can reach, or how much it can sting!
A couple times a year we have have them migrating overhead, they stop and hang out in a duck pond at the park my daughter likes and at a soccer field next to a golf course in town. They kids can't go anywhere near the parks when the geese are there - they flat out attack anyone and everyone!! I'm sure there are more wide spread, but those are the 2 places that I avoid.

The pond I fish most has an overpopulation of Canada Geese. They're a real nuisance, and filthy. You have to watch where you put your feet & backside. It's so bad that the town hires a man with a kayak, a flushing dog, and a remote controlled boat to antagonize them into moving on...for a while. These are all resident birds; they never migrate.

Things are looking up in the mower wars!
Just took it down the road about 20 miles to an auto mechanic who also works on mowers. Was referred by another shop that has a backlog as big as the dealer I've been waiting for. This guy's supposed to be pretty sharp @ fixing electrical problems. We'll see.

BUT the pallet duck coop would make a much roomier suite for chickens!!

Problems with these chicks. I've culled 2 of them, oozing copious amounts of foul brownish liquid, some clear serous from vent. I assumed that they had egg yolk infection. I have one or two chicks in the big brooder who are passing yellow foamy feces. No signs of pasty butt. One of them has an empty crop. But I think this is the one who has bandaid to correct splay leg. What are the chances that I am looking at coccidiosis? I have a feeling that these chicks from shipped eggs are going to give me a run for my money. Thoughts? I'm tempted to give them a treatment of Corid. Hate to risk it passing through the whole lot of them.
very odd

שלום סאלי, מה שלומך היום? מקווה מאוד שאת מרגישה מצוין

תודה בני, אני עושה טוב זה הכי טוב שאפשר לעשות.

@fire370Any kids yet?

Nope. Looks like Dad was right @Sally Sunshine. I still think we are going to be starting this weekend. But, will be putting up in the birthing stalls at night to be safe and that way I can keep an eye on them with the cameras. I can peg a calving almost to the hour but these dad gummed goats have a mind of there own sometimes. And Brit is right that our Nigerian's usually run a little early. I've got April 23rd at 145 days down for the first one to kid in my notebook. (Dad already shaved a few days off, hehehehe) We'll see.
