I think my lockdown temps have been high as well. That's the reason I asked. I know the last 2 hatches I had were pretty bad. I was guessing too high of humidity early in incubation, but I'm not sure. Just trying to collect as much info as possible!
Thank You!

You are welcome!

Hi All,

I have had staggered hatches, mostly shipped eggs. I had the horrible time where I killed 25 of 33 chicks. Now I have NO idea which chicks are which. I'll have some fun trying to sell these chicks!! Maybe I'll be keeping more than I planned?

Well, I'll hopefully be able to keep these latest lock down eggs separate. Of all the eggs I set for Gotro17, the ones in the Brinsea did WAY better than the ones in her Hoverbator. What's finally in lockdown in my Brinsea are 11 Local Cochin, 10 Lav Orpingtons she had shipped, 8 Lav Orpingtons from someone local and 8 Black and/or Blue Copper Maran. That's all I could fit, so I put 3 of her eggs in my lock down 'bator.

Of my eggs, I have no idea how many of each types I have left. I didn't mark them clearly, so I'm hoping I can tell when they hatch.

I have a total of 36 eggs consisting of BCMs, Olive eggers, Blue/Buff Cochin, Biefielders and CCLs (all shipped), plus the 3 from Gotro17s...that is a crowded incubator.

I still have my other Brinsea 90% full. Some on day 12 and others day 5.

The last hatch I got 22 Mille Fleur D'uccle, 4 Polish, and 6 BCMs. That was 100% hatch of the MFDs and Polish, and only 6 of 15 on the BCMs. For shipped eggs, I thought that was a great hatch. But I culled the 2 that couldn't walk, there was something wrong with their legs (1 BCM and 1 MFD). - well I had my dad cull them. I don't know how he did it, just that he took care of it.

I currently have the LG and Gotro17's Hoverbator empty. I'm thinking it's time to maybe order more eggs?

Has anyone tried Big Ol Bird (B.O.B.) Probiotics in the water for chicks or chickens? I'm trying it in their water for everyone tonight, read good things elsewhere, but can't seem to find anything on BYC about it (I'm sure I'm not doing the search right or something...)

I think the last time I saw one was in The Rescuers: Down Under. They put them in the Eagle's nest as a decoy...

Okay, eggtopsied. After thinking about it, I knew I'd regret not knowing if there was anything really informative......

I know the feeling. Even when I know the egg I just pulled was clear, I have to check to be sure.
I was entertained to see that April 18th was the last infertile duck egg I had. Had I not opened it, I wouldn't have known it was infertile.

two Delaware chickens for sale 1 rooster 1 hen
Rooster: solid white Hen:Classic Delaware
$45 for both and $25 for 1
I do ask local because I do not like putting chickens like this through the mail. If the buyer would like them shipped to them I will.
They are juvenile chickens never bred so far
MUST SELL ASAP
